Raffle Prizes for Non Profits

One of the simplest and low-lift ways to get your product in front of customers is to get it featured in raffle prizes at fundraising events. It’s a great way to build awareness with an audience that may not already know about you.

In the summer of 2023, we started doing a lot of interviews with various non-profit leaders about the challenges they face running fundraisers. We found that many have a hard time securing items for raffle prizes. People who are volunteering on non-profit boards and planning fundraisers usually have full-time jobs and do not have the time or energy to reach out to dozens of companies for free products! For us at BroughtBy, we have a ton of connections in F&B and thought maybe some of the companies we work with would be interested in donating products to a) build brand awareness and b) position their product as supporting a good cause.

We contacted a few of the brands we work with and we were right — they were super eager to donate!

So, in September, we matched two nonprofits, Special Olympics Chicago Associate Board and Christopher House Schools with two female-founded brands for a “Chicago-made, female-founded” snack box to be raffled off at their fundraisers. Each box featured each flavor of MMMM Just Enjoy Wines and Nemi Snacks. Nemi also included a personalized note that shared more about the brand. We loved this quick and easy partnership between it was a win-win and required very llitle work —- all the brands had to do was ship the product to the right spot!
